I started by keeping systems running. Now I decide what gets built next.

Support taught me what breaks. Systems administration taught me what people depend on. Client work taught me how to ship. I now bring all of that into technology leadership without giving up the hands-on engineering.

Nairobi Club

Team Lead – Information Technology Operations · Data Protection Officer

I lead Nairobi Club's technology operations: the infrastructure behind the Club, the security controls around it, the business systems staff depend on and the vendors that support them. I also lead the current systems-modernisation work, including ClubOne.

  • Set ICT priorities across networks, servers, endpoints, user support and business applications, balancing immediate operational issues with longer-term improvement work.
  • Own the follow-through on technology and cybersecurity audit findings, including evidence, remediation tracking and reporting to management and governance committees.
  • Lead work on firewall and endpoint security, backups, recovery planning and resilient connectivity.
  • Serve as the Club's designated Data Protection Officer, coordinating practical privacy and compliance work rather than treating it as a policy-only exercise.
  • Review technology contracts and SLAs and turn technical choices into decision papers management and committees can use.
  • Lead the design and build of ClubOne and other internal systems where buying another disconnected tool would simply move the problem.

EkvatorSnus Ltd

Tech Lead & Enterprise Systems Engineer

At Ekvator I work across both sides of the environment: the software used for production and commercial operations, and the Microsoft infrastructure and identity services around it.

  • Lead the build and implementation of the company's inventory, manufacturing, purchasing, sales and reporting platform.
  • Administer Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
  • Own the less-visible parts that keep the application trustworthy: transaction integrity, workflow controls, application security and production release work.
  • Coordinate technical work between the Kenya and Sweden teams so infrastructure and application changes stay aligned.

  • Administered Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
  • Maintained DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, wireless infrastructure and secure connectivity.
  • Managed user provisioning, workstation deployment, endpoint support and hardware lifecycle work.
  • Supported Finance, Membership, Procurement, Food & Beverage, Administration and Front Office systems.

BiBiBiU Technologies

Software Developer & Systems Consultant

I built web applications and business systems for clients and handled the work end to end, from figuring out what they actually needed to deployment and the inevitable changes that came after.

  • Built and maintained web applications for several organisations.
  • Handled requirements, implementation, hosting, deployment and post-launch changes instead of handing the project off at go-live.

  • Assisted with security monitoring, vulnerability assessment and system reviews.
  • Supported troubleshooting, documentation and day-to-day systems work.
  • Built a Laravel-based asset-management system for PTI.

Surety PR & Media

Senior Systems & Solutions Engineer

At Surety I owned more than the visible website build. I worked across client delivery, hosting, DNS, SSL, production changes and the support that follows once a site is actually in use.

  • Built and launched client websites and digital platforms.
  • Looked after production environments and handled ongoing changes and support.

  • Worked on infrastructure improvements, security hardening and the Givewatts web platforms.
